About Faye

Faye Walshaw, LMT/NKT

Hello! I’m Faye Walshaw, a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), NeuroKinetic Therapy^® (NKT) practitioner and owner of Evolve Massage Therapy. I am a dedicated massage and bodywork specialist. I graduated the highly-accredited Central Florida School of Massage in 2015. It is my mission to provide a comprehensive, effective, and unique approach to treating people who seek relief from pain, wish to improve their wellbeing, and better their athletic performance.

I have always had a genuine love for helping others. Becoming a massage therapist has naturally developed a passion for working with athletes of all levels and people limited by pain. In 2017, I pursued an advanced sports massage internship which enabled me to fully support the needs of the competitive athlete in maintaining a healthy body, preventing injury, and recovering faster so that they can train harder to fulfill their potential in their chosen sport.

I relate very well to athletes, as I am one myself. I am a runner, triathlete, and 50-mile finisher. I continue to improve and set personal bests despite being an aging athlete! In 2018, I qualified for the Boston Marathon. I also became an Ironman, completing the Lake Placid 140.6 mile endurance triathlon.

I understand the mindset of athletes, the commitment of goal-setting, and striving to accomplish these sometimes seemingly impossible goals. I’ve experienced many times the mental and physical fatigue of the training cycle, the impact it can have on the human body, . . . and life in general! I’ve been through that crushing feeling of training for months only to be taken out by injury before race day or competing subpar because of nagging pain. My own experience with injury and the recovery process has helped guide me on my professional path to meet the needs of my clients in my evolving practice.visit link
